Building a community, growing a churchDaniel Lemadada works in demanding situations in northern Kenya and the photo below shows a fellowship he has established that is made up of Rendille and Samburu people. Daniel shares that:
"These people originally tried to settle around our village but shifted to different parts of the nearby mountain. When I came to the area I met no community and no church. I encouraged these people to come and settle.
"We began a nursery school with four children and now thirty are enrolled and their parents decided to settle. We now have about three hundred people living around the church - still keeping animals. The past two years were a struggle: settling a community where they can access water, agriculture and the word of God.
"At the moment there are no elders in this local congregation, however I am recruiting two local leaders who are assisting me. The plan for the church is to continue to nurture her, to train local church elders and to prepare an evangelist."
