Co-fund

Since our inception we have given over GBP 2 million of our own funds in grants, a figure that continues to grow. But as Entrust Foundation we enhance our impact through adding to our own grant making capacity. Whether you are an individual, a local church, or an organisation, we believe that co-funding with Entrust Foundation is an attractive and effective way of stewarding financial resources. Why do we believe this?

1. Entrust Foundation offers a solid financial base
For example we have met a range of start-up costs for partner projects and we continue to give generously to them. Our sound financial foundation means that most co-funding is direct project funding with Entrust covering the administration costs. In addition it means we continue to operate regardless of others' investment.

2. Entrust Foundation has a sound track record, specialist experience and an established network
We work in a specialised field and have developed expertise in helping to develop grassroot pastor training initiatives, and offer access to a particular network. If this is a vision you share then we can offer strategic opportunities, strong relationships and a sound route for giving.

3. Entrust Foundation reduces risk because of the risks we have taken
In financial terms, we have done the seed funding and invested in projects when there has been a significant risk. While this risk has been reduced by careful selection it is real none the less, and we have been involved with a number of projects through the initial, pioneering, stages. The time and money given to this means that we can recommend any of our current projects as opportunities for something more akin to venture capital or public funding.

4. Entrust Foundation values input at a number of levels and in a number of ways, but all giving goes directly to our main activities
Giving to this work offers a real degree of choice and yet all external giving goes to support project partners through our main activities:
  • Giving at the top level means that you can designate giving to the core funding of the organisation as a whole, and trust us to steward this well, including enabling us to pursue new projects and initiatives. Funding at this level can help to build out the organisation in strategic ways.
  • Giving at the regional level allows you to target your giving to a specific region or project cluster. This will then support the direct mentoring of project leaders; the gathering people together for care, encouragement and training; or allow for new initiatives to develop.
  • Giving at the local or project level. Designating giving in this may enables you to match funds for specific local projects and initiatives, or get behind specific new ventures.
  • Type of training option. Alternatively, you might be attracted to a particular model of training. For example, we encourage institutions to connect with the grassroots and put resources behind training that serves local churches and leaders in situ. You might want to get behind that particular style of work or one of the others we promote.

Please contact us if you are interested in exploring the possibilities of co-funding essential grassroots pastor training work with us.
